Just released from Core Kiteboarding: New Core XR6 and XR6 LW Kites

Say hello to the new Core XR6 and XR6 LW Kites The latest from the Universal+ Series is engineered to perform in all conditions and disciplines. It inherits the power and wind range of the legendary XR5 while receiving measurable weight saving and handling upgrades. Calling all astronauts, T minus 3 to liftoff. Say hello to ridiculous hangtime. The XR’s linear responsiveness continues to deliver effortless cruising, record-breaking hangtime, and super smooth landings. After six generations, we’ve dialed in the characteristics regular kiters and astronauts-in-training seek. Like prodigious power. Unbelievable depower. And precise control on the water and in the air. Rocketship scientist stuff inside. Core’s rocketship scientist went over every small detail and found weight savings in the leading edge, extra speed in the canopy, and efficiency improvements to their Speed Pump System. Proudly South African: Interview with Chris and Olaf from Ullman Kiteboarding

Ultimately, we’d like to see more people drawn to the sport.  Ullman Sails are synonymous with traditional craftsmanship and cutting edge sail technology. This is what we bring to kiting. A product in which people can place complete trust.  Where sail making has become more advanced, the kiting technology has stayed relatively stagnant. New DUOTONE Mono 2019 – Video

The new DUOTONE Mono 2019 launched this month.  A low aspect kite ideal for light wind conditions and foiling.  The 2019 MONO has a lower aspect ratio and wider tips than previous models. The arc of the leading edge is flatter which results in a higher projected area for every size.  The new MONO is super stable and very easy to launch with it’s one strut design, making it great for those light wind days in winter or having fun at kitesurfing spots such as Langebaan. Events covered various disciplines of the sport including: an Industry Demo day where brands displayed their 2019 products for attendees to test and compare to one another before making their decision on a purchase. a big air competition which is always a hit among competitors as amateur or professional can compete among one another for that one “lucky” jump where all the elements come together to get that perfect jump. a strapless wave riding contest, another discipline that carries a lot of publicity and entries. a freestyle event to showcase the technical aspect of the sport, we also added a old school division for the less serious to join in and have fun as well as for the first […]
